Best IG platform to post funny video – Reels, IGTV, or regular post?
Posted by on December 28, 2020 at 8:05 amI want optimal engagement/likes but my video is 45 seconds long (too short for IGTV and too long for Instagram Reels). It’s dimensions are 16:9 and I hate putting a white frame to make it fit the 4:5 IG dimension if I make it a regular post. But if I do without the frame, it will crop too much of my video.
I’m struggling to cut out 15 seconds of my video to make it fit to Reels. But also struggling adding 15 more seconds to make it fit to IGTV?
It’s a funny comedic video so I figure the shorter the better for people’s attention spans. But it’s so hard to cut out content!! Should I make it a regular post with an ugly white frame? Am I overthinking it?

Well you just learned a valuable lesson. Produce content for its intended format and Plattform.
16:9 won’t fly anywhere but maybe YouTube, if you are able to spread it to create a little bit of traction.

You should post content like this on Tik too, it will get a lot more attention than on Instagram.
