To start off, I DO NOT want a domain email. I just need something simple. I posted this before and people did not read my post properly. Looking for business minded people and creative people to give me advice regarding my issue please:

So I’m starting to take my art career further and I figured the best way is to utilize my following on Instagram. The point of this post is to due with my email. Yes I know it’s a small and petty thing but it makes the world of difference when people view your account and want to contact you. So I what I want ultimately is an email address which shows people commissions are open for art prices and that companies can contact me for promotions etc (I have a following). Assume my real name is Keith Long.

Should I make my email address have a business feel to it like ([email protected]), ([email protected]), (keithlongbusiness) OR make it have a artsy feel like ([email protected]), (keithlongart). And no I don’t want to make two email addresses. I think having one for art commissions and business relations (promotions etc) all in one is better but i can’t seem to be set on which kind of email will attract both targets. Any other suggestions would be appreciated so much.
I just need one which is going to be classy, have essence and longevity and appeal to both targets.

EDIT: my profile on Instagram would obviously have the link to the email in my bio.

My wife runs her own business and she’s gone with “[email protected]” if that helps. No name, no decisions to make.

I’d go with business name. You’re always going to be looked at questioningly, because it looks low-budget and cheap to use a free email address, when you can just buy a domain for a couple dollars a year and use it with Gmail and have a 10000x more professional look, but if you’re insistent on not using a domain email and like looking like you don’t know technology, then at least just do the business name.

You need to chill out. and be open to constructive advice. You seem to have the answers and yet none of them at the same time.

why would you ask us something like this while purposefully blocking the best options ahead of time? People are going to provide you industry standard information. For whatever reason, you choose to be closed to that information.

I mean, look at your last sentence! “I just need one which is going to be classy, have essence and longevity and appeal to both targets”. This may be your goal. But your approach will NOT get you there.

Using a yahoo, gmail, or whatever other generic email provider will ultimately make you look like a small business/hobby. no two ways about it. if you want longevity, open your mind to a domain email.
