  • Backlinks… where do I start?

Posted by seohelper on June 1, 2020 at 3:29 pm

So I built our company website a month or so ago and I’m looking at comparative data from other sites like ours and it’s not performing as well because of the backlinks (we have none! Haha)

Could anyone tell me how I go about adding backlinks to the site in a legitimate way? I’ve seen these backlink generators but after a closer look it doesn’t look like a great place to start.

Any guidance with this would be really helpful as I am a newbie to the world of SEO & marketing

    Thanks in advance ☺️

You should try looking at blogs like [backlinko](http://www.backlinko.com) or [Neil Patel](http://www.neilpatel.com) because these blogs will tell you the steps that you can take to build backlinks like broken link building, moving man etc.

First copy your competitors’ backlink profiles as much as possible, and add new and better backlinks while doing so.

Ugh. link building is honestly the Bain of my existence. I know a few of the struggles so while on furlough I made a business directory as I was bored. Might be able to help with one Backlink for you! https://123businessdirectory.co.uk

Ps – hope this is allowed, can remove link if not!

You buy backlinks. Find sites you think a backlink is worth acquiring from and pay them for these links. Soliciting backlinks and expecting to just get them does not really happen. You will spend a lot of time soliciting backlinks and paying for links from blogs that offer little to no traffic, and minimal authority. You will end up doing this just to get your feet through the door.

Go shop around local PR firms and find one that works within your budget and can deliver reasonable press with a link to your site. I would rather have an article from a business publication, or a mainstream press site than 50 mediocre blogs.

Create good content that people will wanna link too, and then reach out to them to show them the content, hopefully they will link to it.

For a company, also make sure you have citations in all the relevant places. This wont help with ranking directly, but should help G understand who you are better, and helps for local.

Don’t buy backlinks, it is a waste of time and money, and will bite you in the butt in the long run. Def read G’s guidelines on unnatural linking before you start to take advice from black/grey hat SEOs 🙂

As a noob, I am afraid are going to have a steep learning curve with this. SEO is very competitive and multi facetted. They are likely not just ranking higher than you because of links – links are just one signal. Get to studying, and play around with things. Best of luck!

If you’re just starting out, buy them. Everybody will tell you “write great content” as if its easy and inexpensive. Its not. It takes a lot of practice to learn to write, and you have to learn it or you’re not going to be able to review it when you outsource it.

Where to buy? Many, many places. And this takes trial and error too. I don’t give out my sources as it devalues them. But here is a great one we used. Try “Serpwolf” on Legiit. Great link builder.

Pay attention to the quality of the website before establishing a backlink. Bad backlinks can be harmful to your website. I am also struggling to find new high-quality backlinks. . .

To start with seo first fix your on page.. and add keywords and interlink your website with target keywords dont stuff keywords on a page else it will be a spam too.. now start with creating some web2.0 website where you can submit small 500words blogs and place hyperlink on your keyword on it referring your website. Create only one link in one post.
Search for web2.0 sites like blogger, wordpress, jimdo, google sites and more. Create home page, about us and blog section there . Its a kind of second small site.

Next is after publishing blog on web2.0 create bookmarks of these web2.0 blog urls in top bookmarking sites like plurk, akonter, scoopit, diggo, bagtheweb, and more dont create more than 10 link from each blog post.

After this create infographics and articles and so same on infographic and article submission sites and create bookmarks. This will not spam your website directly and help to increase keywords ranking you will be hyperlinking.

Once you see traffic moving in thango for guest posting and keep fixing your on page seo.

    Hope this helps.

Start With Good Social Links and then content rich Links .

Also think about guest post on related niche and do some web 2.0 with tier 2 links.
