Backlinks and starting a new blog.

I was taught to use a variety of methods ( I took Ippei Kanehara’s training-AMAZING) Directory listings-guest blogs-copycat (my fave). There are a lot of options both paid and free so it depends on your budget and the amount of time you’re willing to invest. Good luck and congrats on the new blog!

Other than citations, guest posting is a great way to gain backlinks. It can help if you’re an ‘expert’ in your field as you might come across more credible – helps you stand out.

Brag about others. Genuinely. They will love it and may link to or tweet about your post.

The best thing I’ve found is creating content worth linking to. You want something that benefits the visitors of the site linking to you. You can also read their existing content and create something that compliments it. Then, you can ask them to link to you.
