    Attribution of sales

Posted by seohelper on July 3, 2020 at 10:03 am

    Good morning everyone.

I have a few questions about a client and I would like to know your opinion.

    Let’s imagine a scenario.

An user comes on the website through a google ads and buy something on day 1. The sale is attributed to ppc, right?
Okay. Now let’s imagine he comes back 1 week later and he buys something again but without clicking on an ad.

Is this sale attributed to ppc or organic/direct?

    That’s my first question.

    Second question.

If the user first finds the website through seo, then click on an ad, to finally buy something on the website. Is the sale attributed to ppc? Do I count it in my reporting of the ads performance?

Thank you so much ! I hope my questions are clear.

    1. Question Yes
    2. Question its based on atribution model you are using if you are using last click model then yes the conversion will be atributed to ppc.

    1. If they’re coming back directly, not through organic etc., then yes. But, this also depends on the conversing look back window for your conversion action.

If your look back is 10 days, and the user comes back after 14 to make another purchase, it won’t be counted in Ads. But if your look back is 20 days, it will be.

    2. Depends on attribution model.
