I’ve noticed the same thing hashtags don’t seem to carry the same weight they used to. These days, good captions, timing, and getting early engagement matter way more. Some people even lean on platforms like smmfollows for that initial boost so the algorithm actually picks up their content, instead of stressing too much about stacking 30 hashtags.

No need for them. Nowadays platforms can automatically understand what is inside the content and can categorizes them according to that. Platforms left use hastags in algorithms

Depends but surely they don’t matter like they used to, but at the end of the day hashtags don’t hurt your video/post that’s all it matters

I don’t think they aren useless, but they don’t drive reach like in the past. A few niche ones help, but focus more on good captions, timing, and content people want to share.

Hashtags have been dead. Keywords are more important but overall, the actual metrics you can track that track engagement are the ones worth following as they provide the real insight you need to gauge the performance of your content, weed out what’s not working and improve upon what already is. Watch-time, % of views past 3 seconds (huge KPI), likes and shares are supreme.
