  • Are giveaways against Facebook /Instagram community rules?

Hello, I’ve been thinking about making a giveaway for a store of mine through social media.

My idea is to simply make a post announcing it, ask users to tag two friends whom they would like to share the price in thr comments and use a random picker to select the winner.

I’ve been reading quite a lot about this topic both in favor and against, yet I haven’t come with a decision for trying it out or not, as i dont wanna risk my account from getting banned.
Does someone here has some experience with this type of practices?
    Any advice is welcome!

    Thanks a lot!

You can run a giveaway it’s not against Instagram or Facebook rules. Don’t worry, account would be banned

I did a giveaway on FB. No problems at all. Don’t worry and just go for it!

Only if money is being raffled off.
So if you say “everyone who likes my page will be entered into a raffle to win $100” it would be violating. Under their selling site privileges in Spam. That also includes crypto, legal tender, and precious metals. It doesn’t include gift cards.

If you’re giving out a yeti for likes and stuff, you should be fine

Edit: Also you can’t give out anything that violates their regulated goods policy. So alcohol, guns, drugs stuff like that. Animals and knives are okay.
