Are conversions used for ‘training’ campaign or acciunt based?

Posted by PlasticGuru on July 27, 2024 at 10:48 pm

I have been running Google ads for years, with poor results. My main spend has been using Pmax, but i am now trying search and shopping to gain more control.
Question 1: Can I switch my search ads to maximize conversions due to my current account history?
Question 2: Do i need to turn off my Pmax when running search/shopping? (Pmax has been doing crap for conversions)

If PMax is doing crap, why keep it on? You can run PMax along side search campaigns and standard shopping campaigns but that would only make sense if PMax was doing well.

Google looks at the last 30 days of conversions data to help optimize the ad account. If you don’t have enough conversions coming in, in the last30 days… focus on fixing that issue first.
