I’ve read about ‘success’ stories with getting affiliate sites to make thousands a month, but I find it hard to believe that Google doesn’t discard those ‘pump and dump’ sites more often, though I guess the ones that succeed now focus on quality, since I’d think that the best reviews are on e.g. Amazon product pages, but I suppose there are some established blogs whose subscribers trust the authors.

I’m making around 60k a month with my affiliate sites…

I’ve never considered it a pump and dump. Maybe that’s why….

Pump and dump doesn’t work well these days. But those of us who have invested in our affiliate sites still see strong performance. There has to be something of real value there for people.

Look at deal sites like DealNews, Slickdeals, and others. They make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from affiliate links by sharing the best deals and providing a valuable service. They still rank very well but that’s also because they offer something of value.

Gone are the days of grabbing a domain in a niche, filling a page with affiliate links with little more, getting a few unrelated shitty links to help ranking, and getting a bit of visibility for a short period of time before Google noticed and moving on to the next niche once they did.
