  • Anyone know the trick on how to get images to show with your web page in Google search results?

I've got a few first page rankings for some of my blog pages, but it really seems to be a hit/miss for which ones show images or not. I'm a wedding photographer so this is pretty important, but I can't for the life of me figure out what the trick is. I tried to duplicate the formatting/etc of the one that does show up to my other pages, but many of them still don't seem to want to show an image.

    Anyone figure this out?

Yeah it’s definitely hit or miss because Google decides when to show images in search results, not us. The best thing you can do is make sure each blog post has a clear featured image, proper alt text, and structured data that tells Google what the image represents.

If you’re using WordPress, plugins like Yoast or Rank Math can handle most of that automatically. It also helps to submit the post URL in Google Search Console under Inspect URL so Google refreshes the preview faster. Sometimes it just takes a re-crawl or two before the image finally shows up, even when everything’s set up right.

Google decide most of the time what to place and what not, make sure they are all optimized and include alt text.

Don’t think there is anything specific you can do besides compressing images and giving good atl text. Google does what it does for the images

Use schema markeup code for images on the webpages.
However, whether to show the image on the SERP or not will be decided by googles algo on runtime for each search.

google decides when to show images in search results and it is not totally clear how they pick. but here are some basic things that help

make sure your main image is high quality and relevant to the page topic
use a clear file name like bride-wedding-dress.jpg not img1234.jpg
add a simple alt text that describes the image like bride in white dress at sunset
put the image near the top of the page
use schema markup if you can it helps google understand your content
submit your images in a sitemap through google search console

even if you do all this it might still not show because google tests and changes things all the time. keep your images clean fast loading and on topic and over time more should start showing up

    – alt texts
    – image file name (make it relevant)
    – high quality and good file format (e.g. webp)

side note: you can get pictures indexed quicker by posting them on pinterest. Pinterest also gives you analytics tool that helps you determine which “keywords” to optimise for
