  • Anyone here figuring out GEO/AI SEO? Ranking well in LLMs but traffic leaks elsewhere…

Has anyone here actually cracked GEO/AI SEO?

    I’ve noticed something strange:
    • We’re ranking better in LLMs than our direct competitors.
    • But instead of driving traffic to us, it feels like the LLMs are routing users to random sites, not even the real competition.
    • Now my client is pushing for more numbers, and I’m stuck trying to explain why visibility in AI doesn’t always equal traffic.

    Curious—
    • Have you guys run into the same thing?
    • Are you trying to solve this in a specific way?
    • Do you think this is just how AI search will work (visibility without clicks)?

Would love any insights or even just honest opinions.

It seems you already figured it out since nobody else knows this information ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Personally I think it’s very unwise to aim for LLMs for traffic.

It’s going to be top and middle funnel consideration, most final clicks happen outside of them.

AIO features links better (and im testing out ideas to target the top links in the link column

but overall traffic from LLMs is something like less than 3% for most websites.

The real focus for AIO/LLM is to right now is trying to control the narrative at the top and middle (comparison) stage and general brand awareness.

That middle stage basically acts like affiliate marketing review/product listing sites > and maybe where the monetizing of LLMs will shape towards to in the future
