Anyone experience serious drop in performance on FB ads starting yesterday
Posted by on January 13, 2021 at 7:56 pmI know this was coming with all the it’s 14 talk but I can’t tell if this is it. I run my own marketing on Facebook for my e-commerce store. I spend about $1500 a day and have been getting a healthy 2.0 to 2.5 ROAS. All of a sudden ad performance dropped significantly. I’m talking barely cracking 1.0 ROAS. Can’t tell if this gonna be the case across other platforms such as Snapshot and Google ads.

If you’re spending that much you should know that you can’t look at single days

I’ve had one day with a 3.5 ROAS and the next day with the same setup 0.6 ROAS.
FB is really weird sometimes. Also I feel like the CTRs vary heavily every single day.

Sometimes campaigns just stop working. No reason. They have a shelf-life. You’ve got to watch them closely. When they’re up, they’re up. The auctioning algorithm is to blame.

Saw a similar drop in performance across ad sets that were crushing prior. We revamped campaigns with fresh creatives and expanded new targeting, we’ll see if there’s a turnaround ?

Same, made new campaigns but those aren’t even spending…
Day before yesterday my ads did really well, but since yesterday they’ve just hit rock bottom all of a sudden.

There’s a lot going on. A lot of people are leaving facebook now and if the rumors are to be believed planning to riot across the country. We impeached the president yesterday. Covid19. It’s a really stressful time. I am personally not even registering ads rn and I usually pay attention to them out of professional curiosity.
Now add in ios14.
Imo first quarter of 2021 is going to be a bit of a shit show.
