Anyone else feel like being an Instagram creator is just throwing content at the wall and hoping something sticks?

I got tired of that and started tracking what actually works (hooks, captions, formats, etc)
Recently found this small tool called retainer ai that kinda analyzes your content and helps with better captions/ideas based on your own posts. Makes things feel more data-driven instead of random.

The most reliable fix is turning posting into a small experiment loop: one clear hypothesis per post, one metric that decides “keep vs kill,” and one controlled variable (hook, structure, CTA).
Diagnostic question: are you trying to grow followers, or drive conversations/sales? And what is your current *repeatable* format (same structure weekly)?
