Any way to prevent Facebook pixel from tracking my activity?

Even though I am currently not running Facebook Ads, I just installed the pixel for data gathering purposes.

Is there a way to prevent the pixel from capturing my activity? For example, in Google Analytics there is a Google Opt Out extension. Is there a similar plugin or method for Facebook Ads?
