πŸ“ˆIn September 2025, Google's Gemini experienced remarkable growth, with a 🀩46.24% increase in visits, reaching a total of 1.057 billion. This marks its ninth consecutive month of gains. In contrast, ChatGPT saw a modest growth of only 0.98%.

πŸ“ˆThe numbers from September 2025 highlight the intensifying competition in the AI landscape. The growth of Gemini versus ChatGPT illustrates a significant shift in user engagement and interest in these platforms.

This is a *third-party estimate*, so already inaccurate, and only counting web site views. Gemini is in the Google app on millions (billions?) of phones, I’m pretty sure Grok is in the Twitter app, etc etc. This data is useless.

Worth noting for the ‘its only web visits’ naysayers-

Gemini topped the Android and Apple app charts in September (yes, last month). Largely attributed to its image generating models, it still grabbed pole position in an increasingly competitive market.

I’m a big believer that Google has the odds on best shot at winning the AI race, barring a genuine AGI release by a competitor. Things working in its favor include- (1) significant hardware advantages over most AI competitors, (2) significant AI advantages over most hardware competitors, (3) broad audience engagement across all digital surfaces (hardware/OS/apps/websites) and (4) it actually makes money, unlike most of today’s AI companies.

I don’t care what anyone says, Gemini 2.5 pro has given me really good results so far.

I also have perplexity pro which I use to call more premium models for research purposes

In the world of blogging, if any AI is designed to decipher Google, it’s Gemini. Don’t know why it took me so long to understand that.
