Ai generated for SEO
Posted by temmy168 on October 21, 2025 at 8:54 pmI hired an SEO company that has hundreds of 5 stars review on Trustpilot. It’s been 3 wks now and they have done quite a bit. They asked my approval for web page content, off page contents. I found the contents are 99% Ai generated when I checked it using Ai generated content detector software. So I ask them about the risk of getting penalized by google or harm my website. But they said the content writer only use Ai for brainstorming ideas. But if they do, then why the software detect 99% is Ai generated?

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:01 pmIt doesn’t matter if it’s AI or not. This isn’t like high school where you’re graded on your understanding of a topic.
The only thing you need to answer is “is the content good, unique and helpful”. Ai or human doesn’t really matter.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:01 pmthey write the article with Ai and then redo it by hand. pretty common
I wouldn’t worry about it. Ai content ranks just like human written if done well. human written can be good or bad the same as ai can be good or bad

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:01 pmGoogle won’t penalize you for AI content. However, AI content is often low quality, so there’s a small chance it will rank well in search engines.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:21 pmTBH ai detectors aren’t great either.
Just decide – is the content helpful and provide clear answers for my customers.
Also no such thing as ‘too good to be human created’. That statement baffles me.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:23 pmTrust Pilot reviews are bullshit. If you are paying for services and they are giving you slop, ask for your money back.
Are their risks from Google? Hard to say. Does AI content driver fewer leads/sales? In my experience, yes.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:24 pmIn my opinion, you’re focussing on the wrong things. Things that matter are leads and sales. Judge them on that.
Disclaimer – I’m a business owner who’s been working with an SEO agency for a year now. Not an SEO expert.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:34 pmGoogle is vehemently anti ai content and doesn’t want to recommend a site showing it…… apart from every single time you google something.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 9:49 pmYou mean the AI checkers that are designed to sell you premium products to help de-AI your content? Yeah, they aren’t reliable.

GuestOctober 21, 2025 at 10:58 pmGoogle seems to not be having a problem with AI content form what I’ve seen. However, since you’re paying them to post content, you should make sure they are not plastering AI slop on your site. Personally, I’d question their approach and tell them to take a “human” or “mixed” approach to content. AI anywhere else is fine.

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 1:05 amIs the content helpful and accurate? Does it show you’re an expert in what you’re talking about? I’d see if you can personalize it a bit more, but I’d let it broil and see what happens.

GuestOctober 22, 2025 at 2:31 amAI-generated content isn’t penalized, as long as it’s done well. If you have a 1-sentence prompt and it throws out a very generic blog, Google will just ignore it as an authority piece.
