This is a bit like asking “*Tesla vs Volvo, Which car is the best*?”. The answer is, it depends.

Both SEMrush and ahrefs are tools used by a lot of SEOs.

If you foucs on **backlinks**, **ahrefs** is the better option. And ahrefs had more data on non-tradional search engines (like Youtube) last time I checked.

If you care about **keyword research**, **SEMrush** is much stronger. SEMrush also comes with a bunch of other features for **PPC**, **Social**, etc.

If you are leaning more towards the **Enterprise** direction and want an individual Client Success Manager and maybe Professional Services, **Searchmetrics** is an alternative worth checking out.

If your focus is on the **European market**, **Sistrix** might be an alternative.

If SEMrush and ahrefs are **too expensive** for your budget, maybe **Ubersuggest** (Neil Patel) or **Mangools** is sufficient for your current needs.

*Disclaimer: I work at one of the companies mentioned here.*

Both are good. Ahref is good features of backlinks and SEMrush have good website research, analysis, keywords research features. As well as both are offering good competition analysis services.

SEMRush is much better at identifying and outputting toxic links than Ahrefs Its site auditing features are more comprehensive and easier to use If you envisage doing a keyword research every day, then SEMrush is considerably better value than Ahrefs.

    Ahrefs any day.
But from last couple of weeks Ahrefs is really bugging showing different stats in different pages and incorrect stats on some spots and the variation of Analytics in Ahrefs and actual numbers is really high sometimes..

For example my website is getting about 17k traffic according to Google analytics and search console.
    But Ahrefs is showing 3.5k

Ahrefs is commonly somewhat simpler to use than SEMrush, and gives you increasingly absorbable, ‘initially’ data.

It gives you a supportive gauge of what number of backlinks you’ll have to rank for a specific watchword — SEMrush still can’t seem to present a comparable component.

You can utilize Ahrefs to perform catchphrase research for a wide range of web crawlers — SEMrush just works with Google.

It’s simpler to do broken connection examination with Ahrefs.

Backlink reviewing and broken connection investigation is conceivable in Ahrefs without expecting to set up a ‘venture’ — this is critical, in light of the fact that both Ahrefs and SEMrush limit the quantity of undertakings you can make.

Its better quality plans grant you to have various clients getting to your records; of course SEMrush limits client records to 1 over all plans (with SEMrush, you need to pay more for extra seats, regardless of what plan you’re on).

The most moderate Ahrefs plan is more liberal than the SEMrush equal with regards to the quantity of activities you can run at the same time.

Client service is simpler to access in Ahrefs (yet note that less channels are accessible).
