GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:26 amIt takes time to generate site authority. Running google ads also isn’t going to help with authority but will help with traffic/purchases. You’ll need to generate backlinks from other domains in order to accelerate that but it’ll also happen naturally over time, just likely at a slower pace than you’re looking for.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:28 amYou probably don’t have the authority, content, internal linking, optimization, backlinks, and everything else that requires a good SEO. Also 4 weeks is nothing, if done properly SEO can take even a few months to give the good results.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:36 amNew sites can take months to gain traction, they need ongoing work and marketing – and ads can be a money pit unless you known what you’re doing.
Ecommerce adds another layer of complexity as getting traffic is just one part of the process.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:39 amAuthority scores and domain authority do not build overnight. They are primarily based on backlinks and are calculated by third-party tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs, not by Google itself.
It is important to understand that these scores do not directly dictate your rankings. They are simply metrics used by SEO tools to estimate the strength of a domain. You should not obsess over them or make them your main focus.
What really matters is consistently building quality links to your website over time. As you do that, your authority score or domain authority, depending on the tool you are using, will gradually increase. It is a long-term process, not something to chase day to day.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:43 amFour weeks is nothing in SEO, it usually takes months to see movement. Keep posting content and build some backlinks, that’s where authority comes from

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 11:49 amAs per your post, it’s been live for four weeks and it takes time to build (website/domain) authority. In the meantime, try to publish data-backed content, promote your site on social media (places where your target audience is very much active), build quality links (via digital PR), and build a brand around your website/business.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 12:02 pmFour weeks is not too late. Work on SEO. Initially you can do research your audience, create a topical authority and consistently post content. Atleast 2 content within a weeks. And, btw shopify e-comm site are now get traffic if SEO done right. Just go on the right track of SEO – you’ll see the traction atleast 3-5months. And, don’t forget to add reputable sorces in your content that boost authority score.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 1:18 pmAlso, do not obsess about authority scores, while they give you an idea about linkage, remember that other factors also play a key role, think about freshness of pages, Google also loves uniqueness. If you have something you can talk about that no one else has, these are all bonuses aside from off page metrics

Four weeks is still super early. Authority scores usually take months, sometimes longer, to grow. Google ads won’t raise authority since they’re paid, not organic. Focus on building quality backlinks, writing helpful content, and improving SEO basics on your Shopify store. Give it time and keep working. Authority grows with consistent effort. How to be practical with SEO, Local SEO, and GMB.I know. -

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 4:09 pmSEO is measured in months, so chill.
Google also recently started sandboxing new domains.
Exchange a few backlinks you’ll be fine.

GuestAugust 22, 2025 at 8:09 pm4 weeks is basically nothing for domain authority – most sites take 6+ months to show meaningful scores
Authority comes from other websites linking to you, not from Google Ads or being indexed. Ads bring traffic but don’t build the “trust signals” that search engines use for ranking
Start creating content that other Shopify store owners or your niche would actually want to link to. Product guides, industry insights, or case studies work well
