Abbreviation or full word in Domain – Whats Your Take?
Posted by on June 25, 2020 at 7:29 pmSo I recently purchased 2 domain names with abbreviations based on the geographical location the business is based in. For example if i was in New York and sold shoes, the two domains would look like:
ShoesNY.com
ShoesNewYork.comI plan to redirect one to the other just to have my bases covered but would one be better for seo than the other? The shorter one seems catchier but would the full words be more easily triggered in search?

Better use full word in not too long, as Google in not good enough with abbreviations.
