    Hi there fellow Google Combatants,

I’m running an A/B test in Google Optimize to test the performance of two banners. I am tracking the click classes in GTM. They fire perfectly.

We have built an “B” version of the page and we’re testing it against the original page.

In GTM we have specified two types of tags. One only fires on the original page, the other on the “B” version.

The only issue we’re facing right now is that our website is loading UTM codes in the URL’s. So when we define a tag to fire on a click class on for instance: “url com/b/ it won’t fire most of the time because of the fact that the URL will most likely be redirected with a UTM code.

Not following what you’re saying, if you are using URL as trigger, use regex so that the main portion is matching that way you dont have to deal with UTM or any other variables in the URL.

You can also use unique classes for the trigger so you can avoid URL all together.
