Hello, I hope nobody kicks me off for posting here. I'm a former math flunky and have been ignoring Google Analytics almost the entirety of the 17 years I've blogged because it reminds me of my many math failures in childhood and adolescence. Anyway, I've finally been trying to dig into my reports and discovered I have high impressions over the last 30 days and abysmal click through. I feel I'm doing something write with content b/c I've got ads going on Facebook and getting likes at 8 cents a piece. Google says I had 77,000 visits last month. I made sure today to add my IP address, which I tihnk I'd already done, but maybe not. So, I'll run that report again in two weeks. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations for me? I work really hard to create high quality posts and reader experience. Also, loyal to my site is very low. I think I have slow page load and having such an old site seems like a lot of broken links. Thank you for taking time to read. Oh, also, I use the Yoast plugin and have optimized many posts to the point of disgustigng word salad. =(

It seems like you have a lot going on here boss.

    1. Could be a page title and meta description issue

    2. Could def be a page speed issue causing users to bounce or Google to dislike your site

    3. You mention posts are optimized to the point of word salad. Are the posts even worth a normal reader reading them anymore? Or is it just all for ranking?

    4. What niche are you in?

Low CTR often points to technical issues and weak titles. Run a Google Lighthouse audit for site speed. Anatech Consultancy can help with a site overhaul and consider Ahrefs for content gaps.

Your pages are being cited by AI. And since users rarely go straight to the source, that HAS to be why the click rate is so low.

    I am experiencing the same.
