I work with a client that sells and builds custom classic SUVs. These things fly out of their shop and they cost over $200k. Their looking to up their social media game. Take a look and give me your best ideas. Winner gets a paid consulting gig with this client.

The company is velocity Restorations. Google them, I don’t want to break any rules posting a link.

I think doing behind the scenes type content could potentially work quite well for this. Show what it takes to get the parts, put the cars back together, before and after, etc. this could apply to both posts and insta stories. Their site specifically speaks about their attention to detail so maybe pick a day and do specific features on a specific detail of the car they are currently working on.

That demographic is very, very specific.

    I’d do a few things:

    1. Show these epic masterpieces in highly targeted social spots with an emphasis on video

    2. Bounce those users to an equally cool and high impact landing page

    3. The landing page would get their info and get them to sign up for a free catalog. The catalog would tell the story plus they can hold it in their hand. Don’t underestimate old school marketing! You have to go Lee Iacocca on these targets.

I don’t mind giving this idea away as execution is everything.

I do it all the time for super high end guitars so I know this works.

Video, video, video. It’s the future of social marketing. Having amazing content is how you blow up on social media.

Also, If you have a budget buy sponsored posts on Instagram influencers pages showcasing the companies work, the social pages will grow immensely which then gives you a larger pool of customers to organically market to.

Your goal should be to bring them on location so they can see the cars, sit in them, etc.

So on the web and in social media, the focus should be on the various aspects that are special in those cars, so they can have something they wanna come over in person to see.

Echoing some of the other responses in that video would be key. If they’re able to gather even one or two past clients to talk about the custom requests they envisioned, then cut to the custom car they received, you could make a pretty solid video. Determine your target audience based on previous sales and social data, run that video on Facebook and Instagram to a strong landing page and you’ll be good to go.

It might also help to consider expanding to other visual social channels like Pinterest, it’ll help your SEO in return and reach a new audience you may not have tapped into. Twitter is also great to strengthen your brand’s online presence..Less visual, but you have an opportunity to create a unique community there.

This is perfect. How do you market a car that takes off? To the crazy people who go to the track every weekend to race. Reach out to tracts, do Instagram lives, do a raffle for a car. Lots of things
