I have a 3 months old website. I have got 5k pages indexed. I have recently submitted sitemap for 30k more pages. I am getting 10k impressions/day with average position 40. I am getting about 5 clicks/day. It is a competitive niche. I have millions of pages more published, ready to be submitted to gsc. However, I think I should wait and build my website credibility first, so google doesnt think of it as a spam. Am I thinking right?

I had a SEO guy who created a few backlinks for my website and boosted DA from 4 to 7, but soon I disconnected with him, as they were forum/directory listings.

It is kind of a personal project, so I cant fund local events to get backlinks. I know some SEO specialists offer good websites for guest postings (30 to 50 dollars), but I have seen those websites quite frequently being used for guests postings, so idk if those are effective anyway.

What should be my next steps? It is a competitive niche. My millions of pages arent identical and dont contain think content. Those are dynamically generated with the dataset I have got. Eventually, goal is to earn from google adsense.

There’s no rule against “thin content’ 9except for Thin Affiliate content).

Understanding Authority Shaping is key here. The dampening effect is designed to stop “high DA” sites ranking for everything and having millions of pages. Effectively – no matter how much authority you have or have been sent – its 0’d after 3 jumps – because its an 85% link tax…

Not sure what this means practically speaking but Google doesnt’ watch your site and what time you do X or build links or do Y. The people who say you need to build a site before backlinks etc are just talking about made up rules in their own fabricated Google universe. Google is not the Big Brother or CIA or Soviet Stasi police watching and taking notes. There’s no or very little manual involvement – its a highly automated system. g..

    Doesnt really matter

Then be aware your site will fall into HCU and maybe YMYL

But building tiered points of authority is going to be your biggest problem

You are not being cautious. You are stalling.

10k impressions at position ~40 means Google is testing you, not trusting you yet. Waiting will not change that.

Do not submit millions of pages yet. First prove you deserve movement.

    What to do next:

    * Pick 20 to 50 pages already getting impressions
    * Fix titles for click intent, not keywords
    * Improve above the fold clarity
    * Add internal links between related pages
    * Watch which pages move from 40 to 20

Backlinks are not your main issue right now. Pages need to earn promotion first.

Once some pages climb, scaling makes sense.

You are closer than you think.

I think your thinking is mostly right, but I’d tweak it a bit. The risk is not “too many pages,” the risk is Google not seeing a reason to care yet. Millions of pages without trust is like shouting in a big room with no name. I’ve seen sites stall because they scaled content before proving value on a small slice.

If I were you, I’d pause mass indexing and pick a tiny group of pages to make clearly better than others in your niche, even if that means adding context, internal links, or simple explanations users didn’t ask for but need.

Position 40 means Google is testing you, not ignoring you. Backlinks won’t save that stage, and DA jumps don’t matter much anyway. What helps more is user signals over time, like people clicking, staying, and not bouncing fast.

I’d also let the site age a bit and build patterns slowly, because spam looks fast and loud, while real sites grow uneven and boring. It’s frustrating, but rushing millions of pages too early can freeze growth later, learned that the hard way tbh.
