    0 clicks in 3 days

So I just got an account transferred to me by a different agency. They were receiving tons of clicks, but no conversions. They asked me to make as many changes needed to improve its performance, which I did. Some things I did was turn off search partners, removed non performing keywords, added some new ones, and adjusted some ad copy. Since I’ve done that, the campaign has gotten 0 clicks and very little impressions. It’s only been 3 days, but I’ve never seen a campaign just completely stop performing after changes being made. The daily budget isn’t super low either. Any suggestions?
Update: I realized the drop happened when I opted out of the search partners. Does it really affect the performance that much?

Check ad approval status and keyword matching options, might be causing the issue.

I wonder how many of those clicks are just bots

I would look at “Change History” and see if there is something else you did that you cannot remember now. Maybe someone else did as well.

I have seen areas where Search Partners is 500% more clicks than normal search but this is odd. Not 100% search partners.

Check the historical performance and see where the impressions and clicks came from (search partners vs google)… Comment back with the numbers and we can diagnose further

Why did you turn off search partners? Turn off display but leave search partners on I would say

It seems the previous manager was fooling the client into believing that traffic came through Google SERP while it was all search partners. Check your active keywords status to make sure they are not low search volume.

Yeah search partners can make up as half of traffic when you hit a rich pile of crap traffic. Also if made too many changes, it’ll be harder to diagnose what else could have caused the drop.

Idea for next time: say no to “make whatever changes are necessary” to clients and spread the changes over time to be able to see the impact of each one. Bid changes, ad changes, keyword overhauls, budget can all mess up BAU performance

Sounds like your bid strategy is too tight. Set to TROAS or TCPA and remove all targets until you see traction. If it’s really not doing anything set to max clicks and let it run.

Are you targeting traffic or leads? Clicks only matter when they convert into something tangible like a lead.
