The only problem I see is that even if you start your own you’ll still have similar clients and similar problems.

I totally feel you though, working with clients who just refuse to grow is so frustrating. They’ll steer you to what they want to do regardless of your advice, and then when things don’t turn for good (duh), they’ll start blaming you like it’s your fault.
