if your homepage is already sitting at #4–6, you’re close – so I wouldn’t rush to replace it

first check intent: if the keyword is broad/commercial, homepage is usually fine. if it’s more specific (feature/use-case), a dedicated page can outperform

the move here isn’t replace, it’s support …create a focused page only if it adds real depth, then internally link it properly and let google decide which one to rank

cannibalization usually happens when pages are too similar. if the new page has clear, distinct intent, it’s not a problem…. it’s an upgrade
