    It was better before algorithms and main feed pages. I grew up on aim and MySpace, the early days did it right. Adding personalized algorithms and tailored content ruined it all. We use to just get minimal direct news locally and globally as well as stay in touch with friends and family and up till 2014 trends weren’t for virality they were for raising funds or awareness for good causes. Cancel culture was a collective conscious that we all reached around 2013 and then when it was all balanced we got fed into new algorithms and feeds and started disconnecting more and more to the point where now they have to put ai accounts for us to chat with… it’s absurd. Anyways, no ai, or an off switch on our accounts for it, and classic app experiences that don’t have ads or algorithm feeds they’re just the people we care to follow in chronological order, and as far as videos remove them from IG and just leave them on YouTube and TikTok. Facebook go back to the og feed and just be focused on groups and community page or market pages. At this point if I pick 1 to 2 features from each app for a new app it’ll be what it should be but rn none of them are fully
