Find popular accounts in your same niche. Check their comments for active, engaging people. Follow, watch their stuff all the way through before liking and save. Comment if you can. You are looking for follow for follow. More people will follow as your followers grow. Small accounts follow more than those with lots.
Follows are bait. Once you have a couple thousand, compare your follows vs followers and unfollow any accounts that aren’t following you. That gets your bait back. Keep grinding like this and you will eventually reach parity.
You can do this without posting any content. I went from 389 followers to almost 3000 in a few months without posting any new content. I’ve just been participating in other people’s lives and scooping those watching the lives.
You can hit 10k even faster with good content. But the more followers you have, the more valuable your content looks.
