GuestJanuary 8, 2026 at 6:51 pmReddit users smell marketing from a mile away so direct response ads get destroyed unless you’re offering something the community already wants… some accounts I’ve tested spending saw 3-5x higher CPAs than Meta/Google because Reddit traffic doesn’t convert well on standard funnels, they need community-first content not landing pages.
The only success I’ve seen is brands using Reddit ads to drive to subreddits or AMAs where they can build trust before selling… but honestly for most businesses Google and Meta deliver way better ROI because their targeting actually works and users are in buying mode not browsing mode.
