    Skip the manual CPC phase entirely… I go straight to max conversions with portfolio bid caps for accounts spending $50k+ monthly and it works better than the old gradual approach.

    The real difference is data velocity. Google needs conversion volume fast now… manual CPC just delays the learning phase. For local campaigns I actually prioritize this even more because your audience pool is already limited.

    Just make sure your conversion tracking is flawless before you flip the switch… seen too many accounts blame the bid strategy when it was actually broken tracking feeding garbage data into the algorithm.
