So Google does track link exchanges like A-B, B-C and C-A for example – as workarounds to inflating Authority.
It does work but its not very scalalbe – but definitely a starting point.l
Once you have authority and start getting clicks, clicks itself are a form of authority.
You can also do this via link partnerships, b2b networks etc.
Obviously links are just part of the system but the honest reality – and why I’m here – is that they idea that you build a website and people just randomly start linking to you is beyond bizarre and terrible advice. All SEOs know and test the impact of backlinks – and then shaping that across a site with in internal linking and on-page Relevance.
I’m strictly a white-hat SEO (hence my profile) and while I dont judge people for buying links, I dont recommend it either – so trying to help share advice.
Obviously a lot of SEOs work on sites with authority and I think they forget how hard it is – esp at the start.
