    I think the ‘hack’ you saw is a scam. Scripts that modify bids on an hourly basis haven’t been a thing for years.

    Today’s customer journeys are too complicated for that.

    Plus, doing this means he isn’t using smart bidding because there are no bids to change there, except for max. CPC.
    Making such changes to automated bidding will break the algorithm anyway.

    So yes he’s probably losing more money with this approach than just having good practices for value based bidding.

    Or the thing he talks about doesn’t even exist. I saw another guru claiming he has a script that modifies PMax bids. It’s just not possible.
