Reply To: How do you actually grow Twitter followers & engagement these days?

This is something I’ve recently tested and working on(New Accounts with 0 to no followers):

When a trending post pops up on feed, check the time and last reply of the author.

I thought the earlier you put a reply, the higher chance others will engage with it, including the author.

But that’s not the case, the engagement I got regardless of how early or how trendy the posts of other people were always the same. The people who engage with trending posts will have the comments ordered differently such that YOU and your comment are left out the conversation and lower than the profiles who’re paid or much larger and more popular than you.

Sadly this means that no matter how much you invest in your content, or how early you try to join trendy posts by popular accounts, your comments and engagements will always be lower and get less views and engagement than your competition.

X is mostly just paid promotion in that regards, your profile will not grow from engagement or content since most are using automations and play the system which needs $$$.
