I totally get. I hate Instagram for this reason because it crushed me. A girl I personally know went to US and started traveling with some rich guy while I live in a 3rd world sub saharan swamp country. Mind you I used to be her close friend and we once kissed and I had her close into my arms.
My lowest moment was when I waiting in line for a cheap meal that cost like 0.3 USD in a dusty super crowded place in a scorching sun and I get a notification from Instagram that says she posted a story and when I open it, it is a picture of her in intercontinental hotel with some guy in the background and the tag location says Los Angeles. And the rest of the picture is her having fun in LA. It was a punch to my heart and I didn’t even know what to do, so I sat on the side of the street and just took it all in, when I was about to stand up a donkey came and shit on the street in front of me. I cried and uninstalled Instagram. Life is not fair
