  • What’s the difference between Followers and Engagements campaign types on Twitter Ads?

Earlier today I’ve submitted the same question to another subreddit but still got no answer. So I’ll give it a try here.

What’s the difference between these two campaign types (**Followers** vs. **Engagements**) on Twitter Ads Manager? I wonder two things:

How do these concrete mechanics differ from each other?

What impact should I see on the initial promoted post as a person, seeing the ad?

Do you eventually want your tweets to get lots of likes and retweets? Or do you want more followers?

Followers will get you the followers and promote you to people who are more likely to follow you.

Engagements will promote you to people who are more likely to engage (like/RT) you but not follow you.
