    Two domains on same keywords

Posted by seohelper on December 11, 2020 at 9:11 am

Hi, if in theory, we maxed out budget on converting keywords on one domain. Could we set-up another, different name, brand etc and start bidding on the same keywords or would Google potentially ban the accounts?

I know this was a tatic used by lots of advertisers years ago but not sure whether you’d get away with it now?

    Why not increase your budget?

This is technically violating Google’s policies. I’ve seen it multiple times and even after reporting our competitors, nothing happened, so I think the chances of getting caught are rather low if it’s not too obvious to Google. On the other hand, you’re risking a complete ban from the platform for all your current and future endeavours, which will take a lot of work to get around. I personally would not risk it.

I am not sure but I wanted to rebrand my own store so I changed the domain of the website –> instant ban on Google Ads and Merchant Center.

That is called double serving, it is against TOS, and yes it will get you banned.

You’re not the first person who has thought about or tried monopolizing all placements.
