TikTok: From Canada but Only Getting Followers from Mexico
Hi,
I have been on TikTok for a little over a week now. At first, my followers were from Canada and then suddenly I had a massive influx of followers from Algeria/India and now for the past few days the only followers I get are from Mexico. I now have 39.5k followers with 40% from Mexico and 7% from Canada. The Canadian % is dropping everyday. I post twice a day and the only new followers I gain are from Mexico. I am ok with followers from other countries, I am just confused as to why my content is being pushed in these random markets.
My views have also significantly dropped for new posts but still gaining followers. The analytics are not up for my videos which I posted in the last 24hours and it appears to only be views from followers. I am still getting Canadian content on my fyp. I view videos, like and comment. Not sure what is going on with my page?
Note: they do not appear to be bots. Majority have profile pics and posts on their page.

I know I’m not directly addressing your question, but I want to make sure you’re aware of how potentially risky it is to use TikTok from a privacy standpoint. The inconsistencies you describe with their algorithms partly align with some of what this guy talked about, particularity the “chasing the dragon” comment.
Not new news, but tbh if you have tiktiok, just get rid of it
