So anyone gonna meet the new Partner Program requirements or do you even care?

    Got this from my rep,

As mentioned in the call, I’m updating you regarding the changes in the Google Partners Program which is relaunching this June. The requirements will be as follows:

**1. Spend of at least $20,000 in 90 days**

**2. 50% of users in your MCC account** should be certified in the new SkillShop program (1 in every category you have ads in : Video, Search, Display, Shopping).

**3. Performance** will play a huge role. So your optiscore should be relatively high.

The first two conditions are no problem for my agency (we’re currently Premier). That said, Google has botched the list of users we need to certify so that needs to be fixed; I’ve been asking for two weeks.

The real question is whether we can hit the performance threshold while only doing what’s best for our clients’ performance. From my perspective, we are absolutely never going to implement something that’s not good for our clients. So we’ll just have to see how it goes.

Here are the things we never implement:

    1. Low relevance keywords
    2. Dynamic ads
    3. Increase budgets (when we don’t have more budget to spend)
    4. Turn on Max Conversions or tCPA bidding without running an experiment to test it, or if the client only gets a few conversions per month why waste time with it
    5. Expand audiences on remarketing campaigns… goodbye budget
    6. Automatically generated Responsive creatives we don’t write ourselves.
    7. Others I can’t think of off the top of my head
