  Search Console Canonical Problems

  Hey guys, I have a website which give me multiple canonical errors in search console.
  The site offers book reviews in multiple languages, and I do have implemented hreflang in my site so correctly.
  The question is, since I do not have canonical settled for those articles, some of them are not indexed returning duplicate and other canonical errors.

  Should I self reference with canonical tag?

  Yes, definitely self-reference when using hreflang
