Running facebook ads straight to the product page without a discount

Posted by seohelper on March 5, 2020 at 11:08 am

I have a client who does not want to do any type of discount what so ever on his Shopify store and he would like me to run facebook ads straight to the product page. His pitch is that it’s the best quality gear on the market, which is true, and we created a really beautiful video ad with that.

I recommended to him to create a lead magnet and then have a email marketing campaign but he would still rather just run ads straight to his product page. What do you guys think? Any recommendations or suggestions to get the most out of his campaign without running a discount?

    Cheers everyone!

I really don’t understand this mindset. The biggest spending companies on Facebook (6-7 figures per month) never, ever do this. Running traffic to a plain ol’ store page is the quickest way to burn out an audience and waste ad spend.

And it’s the single biggest reason why companies think that the market ‘gets saturated’ when their sales dry up.

Instead of a lead magnet, why not create a presell landing page? Just have a glance at Boom By Cindy Joseph’s Facebook ad library. You’ll see they only send traffic to store pages for retargeting traffic but they spend millions sending people to a presell article. The best way to get a cold audience to purchase (and the best way to SCALE these campaigns) is to have a dedicated landing page that presells the product and warms up the audience to the offer.
