Replacing competitor (out of business) on high DA blogs and articles
Hi All,
So I’ve been doing a lot of backlink research for my niche and discovered 1 of the main 4 or 5 competitors in my niche is no longer in business. They have shut down their website.
If I reached out to just as many articles and blog writers that I could that mention them in their content and made them aware of this and just asked them to replace that website/business with mine, how likely would they be to agreeing?
I’m still new to this so I’m not exactly sure. Would they even care? Or would they be inclined to update their article with my company’s info and website? I feel like this is a huge opportunity I need to jump on ASAP but is it even worth it?

unlikely… asking for links out of the blue is not worth the time.
give a reason for it, be compelling

See if you can buy their domain, then redirect to your site and then the links become yours
