One or multiple conversion actions for multiple domains?

Posted by seohelper on July 4, 2020 at 11:48 pm

Hey guys. I’m running an account for a client that is selling same products in multiple countries, each country has its own domain.

Currently I have multiple conversion actions – one for each domain. I have enough conversions only on one domain/conversion action to use data driven attribution.

Would you recommend using only one conversion action for all of the domains so I could use data driven attribution for them all?

From my point of view the potential problem is that audiences are somewhat different in each country so I’m not sure if it’s better to use one or multiple conversion actions.

Another question is: do you always use data driven attribution when possible? In theory that’s the best practice from what I know, but how is it in real world, what are your experiences with data driven attribution?

Keep in mind that your campaign is/will eventually be optimizing based on those same conversions. Combined analytics for reporting is super helpful, but for conversion optimization, I feel that keeping consistent, yet independent conversions fed back into the ads systems would be preferable.

Different countries means different audiences, I would keep them independent. I would also be careful to coordinate each of them such that data can be aggregated cleanly as well though.

    My 2 cents.
