Not sure if this is the right subreddit for this ask or not. so, a buddy of mine and I are attempting to make some money on the side. We had the idea to look at local businesses in our area and try to set up a My business google listing for them and if they don’t have a website we can set one up for them from Squarespace or something. What we want is to make that we set up their GMB listing and website once and be done with it, and if they want to make any changes in the future they can always contact us again. We don’t want to manage them for a fee-based or something. Basically a one job type of gig. However, maybe I am thinking too hard about this but I have the below questions.

*If we set up a GMB listing for them under whos account would the business be claimed? Does that mean that we need to create a google account for each local business or do we claim it under our account and then transfer ownership?

*If we set up a website for them, do we set it up with their credit information? If so, how can they manage it in the future since it will be tied to our account?

Maybe we are thinking about this too hard, but we don’t have much experience on the business side. We are pretty much two college kids trying to make it lol. Any advice would be appreciated!!

1- account permissions. If they want they can give you managing permissions but you have to set them as the owner. So sign up with their account.

2- same deal, sign up with their email address and credit card and bill them for labour. Most platforms allow having managing accounts added if not just login with theirs and get them to reset password once the job is done.
