  • Need suggestions with my Buffer workflow

    Hello!

For long time I’ve been using 4 tools to program my twitter posts: Audiense, Feedly, Buffer and SocialPilot. All with free accounts. I’m a very small business and so far is not worth for me going for paid accs.

The workflow starts like this. Each monday I go to Audiense and get a report for the best times to tweet. From that data I take the best four time slots for each day for the rest of the week. That means that each day I will publish four tweets no matter the kind (posts, retweets…).

But of course for me is not that important (in general) a retweet than a curated tweet. So I go to Social Pilot and set up the calendar with the 2 bests time slots for each day. Then I go to Buffer and set its calendar with the remaining (and less popular) time slots for each day.

The result of this is that I have the SP calendar with the 2 best time slots and the Buffer calendar with the rest.

Then I start curating content with Feedly. All curated content goes to the SP calendar taking the best time slots. When I finish I will have 15 days of tweets programmed (2 tweets each day, 30 tweets in total).

During the day I see all the posts I want to RT in Twitter. Those go directly to the Buffer calendar.

Working this way I can save the popular time slots for the best posts and I don’t have to schedule manually each post on publishing them.

    BUT…

Now I am trying the Pro Trial version of Buffer. I thought that if I could do the same with only one scheduling tool I could optimize the workflow even more and then I would be worth it to pay for the pro version.

The thing is that so far It’s been impossible for me to replicate this workflow because I would need different calendars inside Buffer. One for the RT and one for the curated content. It would be even more impressive if I could have more calendars for the different kind of posts (blog posts, podcasts, videos…).

That way it would be extremely specific with the time slots without having to schedule each one individually, memorizing each day what is the best time slot for each kind of post which would be totally improductive.

Maybe I am missing something? Is there a way to do this with buffer? I will appreciate a lot your suggestions and ideas.

    Thank you!
