Hey guys, after I had my page checked by ubersuggests I got the error, that multiple <title> tags are found in my html code. It turned out that every icon I put on my website has a <title> tag. Is this normal? Can this be a problem from an SEO point of view?

    I’m using wordpress with oxygen.

    Thanks!

The important one should be in the “Head” part of the code. There shouldn’t be title tags any where else.

    Are the icons svg’s?

SVG image tags can have title tags inside them they’re not the same as a regular title tag. They’re the title of the svg not the html doc.

As long as you’ve only got one “normal” title tag in your html, and it’s in the head, you’re all good ?
