Is it possible for me to get below this cost?

Posted by seohelper on April 8, 2021 at 9:32 pm

I used to use facebook ads for some bath & beauty products of mine but they were way too inconsistent.
I always wanted to use google ads but everyone told me they would be too expensive. I was able to get sales for as low as $8 when things were going well. I am currently designing some higher cost products that might work better, but it would only work if I could get sales for less than $20 each.
Does it sound possible for someone in the bath & beauty industry to get sales on google (using search, shopping, etc) for $20 or less if the average order value is above $50?

Edit: I know this question is super broad but I am basically wondering how low have you gotten sales on google?

Well generally speaking without any knowledge of what you are selling, competitors, website, ect or anything I would say:

Split test google and FB with the exact same creatives and copy. FB forsure works and works very very well with beauty products generally speaking. With bath & beauty, and again not knowing what you are selling, FB works somewhat better. product like you are selling I would assume are not items necessarily someone would google for shopping. Much like a new-to-market bamboo style facial cream would do better for FB. Think of it like this:

-I have NO idea as a customer what Bamboo Facial cream (for example) is. I wouldnt even know to google it at all, so your CPA and CPP would be high. Its a very specific and niche product.

-However, with FB ads I would highly be interested in it. You are showing me something I wouldnt even know to look for, and im interested.

    ___

In short, it depends on what you are selling and the strategy of customer you are going for.

Niche and specific? FB most likely

Normal and generalize? Google could work.
