Timing? If you’re posting relevant content to your followers, is it a time of day when they’ll see it?

facebook algorithm is just trash. some people see your post, they may even like it but don’t interact with it ( i.e. no comment, no click on the like button ) and guess what: Facebook things your post is garbage and doesn’t show it to other people who might be interested. The person who didn’t interact with your post may also never see something from you again. At this point it’s just pay to play.

I have 118,000 followers and always reach 5k-10k so yeah… your numbers do seem a bit off if you’re posting quality content.

Tough without paying these days but using different formats, increasing video / GiF use and engaging with comments helps boost reach.

Share your content into groups on a regular basis. Great organic way to reach a targeted audience.

Make sure you invite every person who interacts with your content to “like” your page.

Facebook only shows 2% of its organic business content to its users to protect the user experience. Unfortunately, that means Facebook has evolved into a “pay to play” model for businesses.

Just a thought to add, hope it helps: FB is designed to keep users on FB, so try to see about creating content that keeps people on FB and maybe even has them take an action on FB (link to an event page, etc.) and then using that traffic to retarget to those who actually engaged and then try to funnel them to your non-FB CTA.

It seems to be with LinkedIn too! Algorithms are all messed up

My best guess is quality of content. We help a client with the exactly amount of followers. The “fluff” content (content pushed just to make a post) regularly sees around a 300-500 post reach. When we actually post engaging, entertaining content, that number goes into the 1,000s. Also, this client does not sell anything sexy or that an individual would ever want to own, so it truly is about content. Work on your posts.

They want you to pay to reach people. It’s how they make money. They are a marketing company

There are a lot of people with FB accounts that don’t log in everyday. A subset of your followers might be part of that group.

    Facebook exists to make money.
    That’s why they are there.

There are two ways you can get Facebook money. You can pay them to advertise or boost your posts. Or you can post content that makes people interact and engage, which keeps them on Facebook to see more ads.

That’s all there is to it.

You’ve answered people again and again with “but my content is good”. The simple reality is it isn’t. You’re not producing the content your page followers want to engage with, or they would.

Millions of people are getting interaction with likes and comments, without paying a cent. I’ve got clients getting 60k reach on posts weekly with 0 dollars spent with barely more followers than you have.

You need to fix your content, you need to sort out your CM strategy, and you need to find the right times to post your content.

If all of your content is just links out to your site, no one will engage with it. You need to generate value (in any form, including entertainment) for your followers and intermittently tell them about your site.

Facebook does a lot of bullshit, and plenty of reasons to be up in arms for their community standards, privacy etc. But how they treat content in the newsfeed isn’t one of them. There’s no obligation for anyone to see your content.

Design your own website and algorithm.

    That’s typical.

Facebook is pay for ads to play otherwise you’ll only reach 2-3% of your followers.
