Is Google Ads Custom Audience Weekly Impression Estimator Accurate?

Posted by seohelper on July 5, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Hi all, I’m pretty new with Google Ads and wondering how accurate the Weekly Impression Estimator is when building a custom audience.

I’ve built some really awesome custom audiences, only for the estimator to tell me 0-100k weekly impressions. While my audiences are targeted, I have not made them overly broad, so wondering what is up for this estimate.

So my first question is A) How accurate really is the Estimator?

and B) My company sells a niche product, but still needs to reach a relatively broad segment of the population. Is it even worth it for me to implement these custom audiences when the Estimator says 0-100k weekly impressions?

    Thanks.

You don’t have to worry about that, just ensure the input is right. Your keywords, URLs, apps or places. They are only estimating how many of these impressions meets the criteria you put out, not how many user. The same person can incur 20 impressions from your ads in a day. Its only a rough estimate.

Unless you have an unlimited budget, it will not be able to reach all these impressions anyway. Do layer more inputs to get a higher impression total.
