    Hi guys,

I run a an account on Instagram with 41.5k followers. All the followers are legit, never bought any whatsoever. I post everyday around 3pm since it’s my peak time.

I posted a photo a week ago and got 3217 likes and 225 comments which to me is not that bad and the reach was 16505.

Now fast forward today, it’s been a couple days now that my likes and comments are really low.

I posted today at 3pm and got only 541 likes and 6 comments and the reach is at 4935.

    Is there something wrong?

I’ve noticed that my followers have gone up much lately. I haven’t change the content, still targetting the same audience..

    Thanks!

What was the photo you posted with the high engagement and likes? Was it any different from the one you last posted?

It could be that the other photo was more engaging or captivating…

I guess Instagram is lowering the reach as time passes to make us promote our content…

You can’t expect same kind of response on every post. Moreover organic reach is very low on any platform like Insta, FB. So try to provide multiple post in a day and change the content you share.

On Thursday, Facebook basically reduced the reach of both the Facebook pages and Instagram accounts. This is the third time since December that they have done this, which probably means that by the end of the year, your reach will be close to zero. I have a page of about 100 000, and my reach is less than 500. Your actual reach (that reach number that they give you is false) is probably less than 300.

Some of the comments will tell you it is because of your content, but that is nonsense. My average engagement rate is 40% which is massively high given the fact that the international average is about 1.5%. Hence I know what I am talking about. Facebook and Instagrams plan on turning their platforms into pay-for-play. What that means is that if you want to reach your audience, you are going to have pay Facebook thousands. At this stage, unless you have some other platform to reach your audience, making your content more engaging, won’t increase your reach.

Ig is lowering it to sell ads. I used to crush it with Facebook organic traffic , easiest money I ever made. And then they shut it down, same thing is happening to IG now, for organic traffic use TikTok and LinkedIn

Another topic with someone noticing the same problem…

Facebook post organic reach ends after 100-130 likes
