  Instagram not allowing the use of multiple photos in one post

  I’m not sure if this a bug exclusively to apple because this doesn’t happen on my android phone, but whoever I try to make a new post there’s no option for me to select multiple photos and if I’m doing something like an artist showcase it’s problematic because Instagram also doesn’t like it when I post to frequently. So please either fix the app or the algorithm

  Like a carousel? It still allows it. I had to launch a branded carousel today and freaked out for a few seconds lol. But I figured out that you just have to tap and hold the first pic. Then you should see the normal “multiple selection” interface. Idk why they did this. Hope this helps!

  Before you panic make sure you have done the steps to rule out problems on your end.

  Are you using a CMS or posting natively?
  Are you using the most up to date version of your OS and Instagram?
  Have you tried restarting the app/phone?

  I can post a carousel no problem. I click on the plus and on the right side I can choose to do a gallery or record.

  i wonder if FB/Insta messing with IPhone users to get back at Apple for allowing data switch off? I have same thing today only one photo option

  Until they fix it, a current work around is to hold the photo down until you see the circles with the 1 pop up up. Then you’ll be able to select multiple photos.

  Just slightly hold down the first photo and the option to add more will appear.
